Situated on Reigate’s Bell Street, La Barbe opened over 28 years ago. Oozing romance, this charming restaurant is decorated in a provincial French style with tiled floors, exposed brick walls, simple tables finished with summer yellow cloths and walls decorated with framed caricatures.

Gérard Depardieu could well appear in Eastenders! Sound familiar? Probably because you’ll find these and many more soulless, generic restaurants down the high street of most London suburbs. Unless you live in the vicinity of central London, I’m afraid that this is the best that many of us can expect in terms of culinary treats. Take French food for example. read more »
